Fojutowo Aqueduct
This structure is a great example of hydro architecture and was modelled on similar structures of ancient Rome. The Aqueduct, which is constructed of stone and yellow brick bonded with lime, was built in the years 1845-1849 to irrigate the Czerskie Meadows with water from the river Brda. It is 75 m long and is the intersection of two watercourses – the Czersk Struga and the Grand Canal of Brda. The height difference between the two bottom levels of each course is 11 metres. Under the arch of the upper Grand Canal is a bridge that runs alongside the Czerska Struga to the other side of the Grand Canal.
