Łeba
Trip duration: 5-6 days (for the whole trail length). Difficulty: (3)
River length 135 km / 111 km trail length
The river flows from an area west of Kartuzy near Borzestowo. It flows through a series of lakes, the largest of which are Lake Dlugie, Lake Wielkie, Lake Reskowskie, Lake Sianowskie and Lake Lebsko. It flows into the Baltic Sea near the town of Leba. The upper section up to Lake Sianowskie is very cumbersome, therefore, it is wise to start your trip from there. In this section the river flows through a narrow gorge, the current is swift, and riverbank shrubs may hinder paddling. On the stage between the towns of Miloszewo and Bozepole Male 22.5 km of the river, in terms of difficulty, is comparable with the Lupawa or the Radunia Canyon. You have to be especially careful because of the roots and rocks located in the canyon. The route from Lebork to Leba is easy and does not require experience. The Leba sports moraine ramparts and a mountainous character to eventually flow quietly through a vast coastal plain.Proposed daily runoff distances on the Leba river:
Sianow – Bozepole Wielkie – 3 days
Bozepole Wielkie – Lebork
Lebork – Chocielewko
Chocielewko – Gac
Gac – Leba
